Fabulous flutterlashes!

I mentioned on my Facebook page a few weeks ago that I had an exciting new link with a new business. I have been lucky enough to trial a fantastic new make up product - Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes - from Younique.

This gorgeous mascara comes in a quilted leather-look case, making it the perfect gift. Order yours now from @flutterlashbeauty.

Spanish treasures

I've recently spent a weekend in magical Madrid, what a beautiful city! As usual, I was on the hunt for some jewellery to bring back. Here are two of the gorgeous rings that I bought - both under 5 euros.

Weekend retreats

This weekend I stuck to monochrome clothing and accessories, just adding an accent of red to match my lippy!

Out of Africa

A lovely work colleague of my husband asked him if she could bring him something back from her visit home to Uganda. He of course said, jewellery! For me, not him. He's good like that. This beaded necklace is my present and I've added a handmade beaded ring and some old Accessorize earrings.

Crystal blue

I have said it before, but Sainsbury's have a fab range of jewellery at the moment. Yesterday I treated myself to a ring (£5), earrings (£5) and a trio of bracelets (£8) for a night out. Also got a fabulous biker jacket and knee length boots (photos to follow) which I paired with a little tea-dress I'd found at F+F Tesco last week.

Mother of pearls

A lovely Autumnal day yesterday saw me wrapped up in shades of grey and these pearly accessories.

The cutting room floor

Some extra bits, not sure from whence they came!

Cerised

I love the colour cerise and my accessories collection reflects that. It's a colour that never really goes out of fashion and works in Summer, Winter and inbetween.

Monochrome florals

I like floral jewellery and this black daisy necklace goes with anything. My M&S 'pearl' set was a good contrast.

Simply stripes

A very pared down look today. Work is hard at the moment and I'm trying to do a couple of runs a week during my lunch hour. Heavily accessorising can slow down my changing time!

Guess who?

I don't know where these pink mirror earrings are from but I know the necklace was a present from New York over 15 years ago. It's made by Guess Jeans.

The ring is one of my absolute favourites - again from a French flea market - 3 for 10 euros.

Back to school

Kept it simple on Monday. The children loved my feather earrings and the plastic jewellery is good and tough when you're on outdoor play duty!

Cinematique

I bought a gorgeous skirt from Primark on Sunday and wore it for a cinema trip with my book club. We went to the adaption of Before I Go To Sleep by S J Watson. Definitely worth reading and watching.

My belt is a hand-me-down from my mum and my coral New Look bangle and earring set made another appearance.

Saturday girl

Saw my lovely sister for a catch up on Saturday night and pulled out an old Accessorise rope necklace to liven up some jeans. The finger ring is from a lovely boutique in Prestwich called J'Adore.

Indian summer

It's hot again and so I dug out a charm bracelet with a seaside-feel. It matched beautifully with my French flea market ring and gold hoops...

Sparkle black

I love the colour black and sparkly things and this butterfly necklace is the perfect combination...

Chambray blue

Got a lovely dress from Sainsbury's over the summer which I've been saving to wear with black tights and clogs. Tuesday was the perfect opportunity. Got lots of comments about the accessories and the look in general...

Pearls of wisdom

Quite a low-key look for me, but Mondays are sooo hard...

Coralessence

I've worn this combo regularly recently. It perked up a black and white outfit on Sunday...

Birthday best

It was a close friend's special birthday last week and on Saturday night we hit the heady heights of Rammy for a curry and a party into the wee small hours...

Back by dope demand

I've under-estimated how difficult it is to blog daily. I must make more time! Here's the past 11 days accessorising in photos...

Flowered up

I'm starting to re-wear stuff now so the challenge is finding different ways to photograph them. Haven't given this ring an outing in a long time though.

Old classics

A selection of old pieces in greys and silvers on Monday allowed me to post my first black and white pic.

It's all about the ring

Was at a garden party on Sunday and I put on a right selection of mis-matched items, but somehow they sort of worked together. The ring was the main event, something I've had around twenty years and unusually I can't remember it's provenance.

Gold on blue

Saturday night out for a lovely dinner at a friend's house. Gold with blue is on trend this season (apparently!).

A rosy hue

Keeping these next few brief as I've got a backlog! Friday was my second day at work and I tried to cheer myself up by wearing a lovely necklace and earring set made from rosy-coloured glass. Chunky plastic bangles and a slug ring were thrown in for good measure.

The greens and blacks

Back to work today (boo), admittedly after 5 and a half weeks off, but still pants. I bought myself this huge chunky cuff bangle yesterday from a local garden centre for the bargain price of £1.99. Proof that accessorising doesn't need to be a costly business! The ring was one of my birthday presents from Sainsbury's new range (really worth a look) and the necklace is very old and well-worn.

Steel blues

Still catching up, so this first post is for yesterday's accessories. Had a lovely birthday present from my strive for 5 guru on Tuesday and I wore part of the haul (5 pieces obviously) on Wednesday. The new signet-style ring, plaited necklace and bracelet set are all part of Accessorise's new range.

Pearls of wisdom

A bit behind schedule today! Yesterday I had work friends over for lunch and then in the evening I went to my book club night with my sister. We discussed The Twins by Saskia Sarginson - worth a read and it provided a good discussion. I wore a necklace and bracelet set made up of pearly stones, along with a coiled grey ring and some pearly earrings (that I wore on my wedding day).

Pot of gold

A lovely evening out on Saturday called for some gold and sparkles. I love this necklace, an old Accessorise piece (donated by my good friend Eilidh). It's a bit Cleopatra-esque and requires a plain black background, as it completely dominates an outfit.

The ring was a souvenir from my recent trip to Dublin. I thought the sparkly shamrock was very fitting.
